    What Impacts Fertility?

Discover the biological and lifestyle factors that can influence fertility and potential pathways forward.

    What is Fibroids?

Fibroids are noncancerous growths that develop in or on the uterus, often during reproductive years. They can vary in size and may cause symptoms like heavy menstrual bleeding, pain, or fertility issues, depending on their size and location.

    What is PCOS ?

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder common among women of reproductive age, characterized by irregular menstrual cycles, high levels of androgens, and often the presence of multiple small ovarian cysts. It can affect fertility and increase the risk of metabolic health issues.

    What is Tubal Diseases ?

Tubal disease, also known as tubal factor infertility, is a condition that occurs when the fallopian tubes are damaged or blocked, preventing an egg from traveling to the uterus. This can make it difficult or impossible for an egg to meet and be fertilized by sperm.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is the most common type of assisted reproductive technology (ART), used to create an embryo by bypassing certain causes of infertility, such as mild sperm abnormalities in men, and fallopian tube or ovulation irregularity in women.

If you’re under 35 and have been trying to conceive for a year, or over 35 and trying for six months, it’s time to consult a fertility doctor. For known health issues affecting fertility, seek advice sooner.

IVF success rates vary depending on factors like age, health, and clinic expertise. On average, the success rate is about 50% for women under 35, decreasing with age. Advancements in technology have improved outcomes over time.

Yes, there are some restrictions during IVF. Patients are typically advised to avoid smoking, excessive alcohol, and intense physical activities. Following the doctor’s instructions, including dietary and medication guidelines, is crucial for a successful outcome.

Yes, IVF can have side effects, including bloating, mood swings, and mild cramping due to hormonal treatments. Rarely, more serious complications like ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) or multiple pregnancies may occur.

An IVF cycle typically takes about 4-6 weeks from the start of ovarian stimulation to embryo transfer. However, additional time may be needed for preparatory tests or multiple cycles, depending on individual circumstances.
